1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Circle The People LLC (“Circle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides websites, progressive web applications, AI-assisted tools, subscriptions, customer support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This policy applies when Circle determines how and why personal information is processed through those Services.

2. Information we collect

The information we process depends on the Service you use and the choices you make.

  • Account information: email address, account identifiers, authentication status, subscription tier, and device-session information.
  • Payment information: subscription and transaction status, plan, customer identifier, and receipts. Payment-card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by Circle.
  • Content you provide: text, prompts, images, audio, documents, scenario descriptions, journal entries, observations, or other material you intentionally submit to a feature.
  • Support information: name, reply email, subject, message, and related correspondence.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, error events, authentication events, and limited usage records needed to secure, operate, and diagnose the Services.
  • Location and device permissions: precise or approximate location, microphone, camera, notifications, or local storage only when a feature requests it and you grant permission. Permission can be changed in device or browser settings.
  • Local information: some preferences, drafts, histories, or learning state may remain on your device. A specific product may explain additional local or cloud behavior at the point of use.

3. How and why we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and maintain the feature you requested.
  • Authenticate accounts, restore access, and enforce subscription or device rules.
  • Process payments, confirm entitlements, prevent fraud, and maintain required financial records.
  • Generate requested AI output, translations, transcriptions, speech, analysis, or other results.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and safety requests.
  • Protect users, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, and maintain system integrity.
  • Measure reliability and improve core functionality using limited operational information.
  • Comply with law, valid legal process, and enforceable obligations.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performing a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for optional processing that requires it.

4. AI features and user content

Some Services send content to artificial-intelligence, speech, vision, translation, hosting, or infrastructure providers so they can produce the result you requested. We limit the content sent to what is reasonably needed for that interaction and configure providers according to available privacy and retention controls.

AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on it as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other qualified professional advice. Avoid entering secrets or highly sensitive information unless the product clearly states that the intended workflow supports it.

Circle does not claim ownership of your original content. You give us a limited permission to process it to provide, secure, and maintain the Services.

5. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information to:

  • Service providers supporting hosting, storage, AI processing, speech, payments, transactional email, security, analytics limited to product operations, and customer support.
  • Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, to respond to valid process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce agreements.
  • A successor organization in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.

Our principal categories of processors may include Cloudflare for infrastructure, Stripe for payments, OpenAI and other selected AI or media providers for requested processing, and Resend or a comparable provider for transactional communications.

6. Cookies, local storage, and tracking

We may use essential cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, installation state, subscription access, and product operation. We do not use third-party advertising cookies to track you across unrelated websites. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced, we will provide notice and consent controls where required.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, including providing an active account, preserving user-requested records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, meeting financial or legal obligations, and maintaining security. Retention differs by product and data type. Payment and tax records may be retained for legally required periods; security logs are generally kept for shorter operational periods; device-local data remains until you remove it or the product clears it.

When information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or securely isolate it, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.

8. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about disclosures. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. Circle does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
